How we prepare our content

• Values and formulas follow the current editions of the Indian codes — IS 456:2000, IS 800:2007, IS 875, IS 1893:2016, IS 13920:2016, IRC and CPHEEO guidance — and the code clause is named wherever it helps.
• Every calculator shows its working, so you can check each step by hand.
• Tools are meant for learning and preliminary sizing. Final designs for real construction should always be checked by a qualified engineer.
• If you spot a mistake, tell us — we correct pages as soon as an error is confirmed.

Who we are

Nirmaanpro is run from Bankura, West Bengal, India, by people who have studied for the same AE/JE exams our readers are preparing for. We started it because good, free, code-based civil engineering material in plain language was hard to find in one place.
