Contest guidelines

1. Who can take part

• Open to everyone preparing for civil engineering exams — AE, JE, SAE, SSC JE, RRB JE, PSC and diploma/degree students. Entry is always free.
• One account per person. Sign in with your own email (we send a one-time sign-in link — no password). Your email is how your score and any prize reach you, so use one you check.

2. When and how

• Every Sunday. Start any time between 8:00 and 10:00 PM IST. Once you press Start you have 20 minutes — the timer does not pause.
• One attempt per contest. Enter the name you want on the leaderboard before you start.
• Your answers save automatically. If your phone or network drops, open this page again and carry on — the timer keeps running. When time is up, the answers saved so far are submitted.
• Use a stable connection and keep your phone charged. Technical problems on your side can’t be compensated with extra time.

3. Questions and marking

• 20 multiple-choice questions from the whole civil syllabus — RCC & concrete, structures, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics, environmental, transportation, building materials, steel, irrigation and surveying — at diploma (JE / SAE) and degree (AE) level. A brand-new set every week; no question repeats for a year.
• +2 for a right answer, −2/3 for a wrong one, 0 if skipped.
• Ranking: higher marks first; if marks are equal, the shorter time taken ranks higher.

4. Results

• The leaderboard and every answer with an explanation appear here at 10:25 PM. The top 3 are announced on our Telegram channel.
• Only the name you entered is shown publicly — your email never is.

5. Prize

• The topper wins a ₹200 PhonePe Gift Card. We email it to the winner’s sign-in email within 48 hours of results — no form to fill. Check your inbox and spam folder.
• To use it, add the card in the PhonePe app with its card number and PIN. It can be spent at merchants on PhonePe and is valid for 1 year.
• The prize needs at least 20 participants who finish. If fewer finish, there is no winner that week and the prize carries over — the next week’s topper wins the bigger amount (up to ₹1,000).
• One prize per person per calendar month. If the topper has already won that month, the prize goes to the next rank.
• The gift card can’t be exchanged for cash. If the winner’s email bounces or there is no reply within 7 days when we ask a question, the prize lapses.

6. Fair play

• Attempt the contest yourself. Using more than one account, sharing or copying answers during the contest, or using anyone’s help leads to disqualification.
• Please don’t post the questions anywhere before 10:25 PM — after results they are free for everyone to read here.
• Results that look unusual (for example, a perfect score in a very short time, or matching answer patterns between accounts) may be reviewed, and the prize may be withheld.

7. Good to know

• Nirmaanpro’s decision on results and prizes is final. These guidelines may be updated for future contests; the version on this page applies.
